While the Fosters have faith that Kassidy will beat this cancer, they know that this is going to be an emotionally, physically and financially draining experience. .  Medical expenses including hospitalizations, prescriptions, and lab work will be exorbitant.  Kassidy’s parents will also need to take unpaid leave to provide care for their child.  If you would like to support the Foster family financially, you can make a tax-deductible donation through SameFight.org. 

SameFight.org is a program managed through Medical Charities of Floyd County, a non-profit organization established in Floyd County, Virginia.  Dollar for dollar your donations will be used by these children’s families for their medical and family expenses. Donations may be made in either child’s name or into the general fund which both families can access.

Medical Charities, incorporated in 1989, was formed to manage the distribution of charitable donations for medical treatment, support for catastrophic illnesses and surgery as needed by the residents of Floyd County. This fund allows for tax deductible donations to be processed with minimal overhead. All management of this corporation is on a volunteer basis. The Commonwealth Attorney’s office manages and distributes the funds and labor is provided at no charge to the fund.
