  • Preschool Classes

    Our mission is to provide a safe, developmentally appropriate gymnastics environment for preschool aged children.  We provide a stimulating educational experience that promotes each child’s social, physical, and cognitive development. 

    Our philosophy is to teach motor skill development and increase fitness levels through stretching, games, music and activities.  We believe in supporting children’s desires to become life-long learners through physical fitness. 

    Our program goals:

    • To introduce physical fitness in an exciting and fun form that will stay with our students throughout their lifetime.
    • To teach our students to strive for goals and take safe risks necessary to accomplish skills that they thought they could never do. 
    • To teach some kindergarten readiness skills such as independence, coordination, teamwork, and discipline.

     

    You should expect your child to:

    • Try many new activities including games, coordination drills, creative movement, and many other skills to prepare them for any sport. 
    • Learn more about shapes, colors, counting, animals, letters, sequencing, and more.
    • Experience our exciting themed months that include fantasy topics; conceptual themes such as high/low, over/under, apart/together, and in/out; and real events such the Olympic Games, safety, and other sports.

  • School Age Classes

    Our mission is to help each child to grow mentally and physically to reach their full potential. We will provide a fun and challenging gymnastics experience that will help each child grow at their own pace.

    Our philosophy is to teach coordination, strength, flexibility, and balance through age appropriate gymnastics training.  Our individualized teaching methods accompanied by tons of encouragement and positive reinforcement, will help each child reach their goals. 

    Our program goals:

    • To teach the basic athletic skills necessary to excel in any sport.  
    • To instill the importance of hard work, determination, perseverance, and good sportsmanship. 
    • To teach our students to strive for goals and take safe risks necessary to accomplish skills that they thought they could never do. 

     

    You should expect your child to:

    • To progress through a safe and challenging gymnastics curriculum including vault, bars, beam, floor, and trampoline. 
    • To be rewarded and recognized for their accomplishments during our ribbon week ceremonies. 
    • To have fun trying activities that are unique to a gymnastics facility including games, rope climbing, jumping into the foam pit and more.

  • Tumbling & Trampoline Classes

    Our mission is to help build a healthy athlete by increasing strength, body awareness, and flexibility.  We will provide a positive training atmosphere that allows each student to progress individually.

    Our philosophy is to develop strength, flexibility, and coordination while teaching  tumbling skills, that are not only useful in gymnastics, but in other sports as well. We believe that safe progressions and motivation will help each child reach their ultimate goals.   

     

    Our program goals:

    • To teach basic to advanced tumbling skills necessary to excel in sports including cheerleading, martial arts, dance, horse vaulting, pole vaulting, and more.
    • To instill the importance of hard work, determination, perseverance, and good sportsmanship. To teach our students to strive for goals and take safe risks necessary to accomplish skills that they thought they could never do. 

               

    You should expect your child to:

    • To progress through a safe and challenging curriculum, with emphasis on tumbling skill progressing from cartwheels and handstands to back handsprings and flips.  
    • To be rewarded and recognized for their accomplishments during our ribbon week ceremonies. 
    • To have fun trying activities that are unique to a gymnastics facility including our 40 ft tumbling trampoline, in-ground trampoline, and soft foam pit.

  • Ninja Zone Classes

    Ninja Zone utilizes the coordination from gymnastics, the discipline for martial arts, the strength and agility from obstacle course training, and the creativity from breakdance. It’s awesome for kids with lots of energy. The class is fast paced. Boys especially will love this class!

     


    The Ninja Zone encompasses

    • Obstacle courses for Strength & Agility
    • Ninja Training (Ninja style flips, rolls, kicks, vaults) Just like what you would see on a video game or in the movies!
    • Gymnastics Tumbling for Total Body Coordination

  • The Edge Classes

    VA Techniques is proud to offer a new program called The Edge starting November 1!  Classes will focus on speed, explosive movement, core strength, balance, and agility.  Any athlete that wants to get an "edge" up on their competition will benefit from this program.

    The NRV is a widely competitive region, with powerhouse soccer clubs, highly competitive baseball teams, state renowned wrestling, championship football teams, and loaded basketball teams! We want to help these athletes reach their highest potential and be recognized as the best at tournaments and competitions.

    Competitive Edge is a beginner to intermediate class that focuses on balance, core strength, and agility. We will establish a strong foundation so when athletes are ready to move to the next level, they’re conscious of their body and how it moves, reacts and adjusts. Perfect for kids aged 7-11 years old!

    Elite Edge will push athletes to their limits!  Building on the foundations, we will emphasize speed, explosive movement, directional change, power, and strength, as well as mental fortitude. Great for athletes that participate in middle school, high school or travel sports. Geared towards athletes aged 11-17 years old!

    Team Edge Do you coach a team? Your sports team can benefit from a class specifically designed for your athletes. Our program director will gear each workout to incorporate your fitness goals, giving your team the “Edge” over your opponents. Our ultimate goal is to help the team by helping the individual.
