Virginia Techniques Gymnastics Booster Club is proud to host Kassidy's Rock Star Invitational on February 7-8, 2009. Our awesome meet will impress you with great hospitality, timely rotations, a relaxed atmosphere, custom theme-based individual and team awards, and gifts for all competitors. We're proud of the reputation we've earned as an outstanding meet for gymnasts, parents, coaches and judges! We'll continue to work hard to make this meet one of the best as it gets bigger and better.  We're bringing in AAI equipment from WEGA Gym Supply and the meet will be held at CMS.  This year, we're thrilled to have Olympian Terin Humphrey as our special guest.  Terin is sure to make each of our gymnasts feel like a "Rock Star" at our third annual competition.

Our competition is in honor and memory of Kassidy Foster, our friend and fellow gymnast. Kassidy, a 12-year-old level 7 gymnast, passed away on July 16, 2007 after battling osteosarcoma.  Kassidy loved life and loved gymnastics.  With a contagious smile, twinkling blue eyes and a sassy attitude, Kassidy lived up to her nickname "Sassy Kassy."  While we're having a rockin' good time, we'll celebrate Kassidy's life.  To learn more about Kassidy, visit her website at www.kassidyspage.com.

Our annual karaoke contests are a highlight for gymnasts and parents every year.  Each team, gymnast, and/or coach is invited to participate in our rockin' karaoke contest at the end of each session (between last rotation and awards). The "Sassy Kassy" award will be given to the best performance after each session.  Those that want to rip it up on the mic will be judged on costumes, lip synching and best overall performance. Bring your own music and keep each rockin' performance under two minutes.
