What is the Booster Club?

The Virginia Techniques Booster Club (VTBC) is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization run by parents to promote and support the competitive teams of Virginia Techniques Gymnastics, Inc. (VTGI).

Who belongs to the Booster Club?

Parents with a child on a competitive team at VTGI belong to the Booster Club.

What does the Booster Club do?

The primary goal of the Booster Club is to support team members.  Booster Club members achieve this goal by participating in fundraising efforts that not only reduce expenses associated with competing, but also provide resources for activities and events for team members.  Booster Club members attend competitions, exhibitions and other events featuring team athletes to provide support and encouragement.

How does the Booster Club raise money?

The Booster Club engages in numerous fundraiser throughout the year. A few of these fundraisers are used to generate dollars that benefit the entire team. Participation in these fundraisers is mandatory. There are also individual fundraisers that provide families with an opportunity to raise money to reduce their out-of-pocket expenditure.  Participation in these fundraisers is optional.

What are the expectations of the Booster Club?

Booster Club members are expected to promote and support competitive team members whenever possible.  Members are expected to attend Booster Club meetings, attend parent-sponsored events and participate in group fundraising initiatives.
